Frank Adelman of Yukon Helps Lead Southwestern College to National Championships

The Southwestern College men's cross country team finished 18th in the 32-team field at the National Championships held Nov. 19 at Fort Vancouver National Historical Site in Vancouver, Wash.

Frank Adelman, Yukon, ran for SC at the national championships.

"This is the best team we have had in several years," says head coach and NAIA Hall of Fame member Jim Helmer. "We finished second in seven meets this season and we go to some big meets. Our performance at nationals was excellent; I was pleased to finish 18th."

Southwestern College is a private institution granting undergraduate and graduate degrees and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. About 1,800 students attend classes at the main Winfield campus, at five professional studies sites in Kansas and Oklahoma, or online around the world.
